From 1962 to 1994 he worked as a graphic designer for several advertising agencies and design studios. Since then he has worked for himself exclusively in drawing and illustration. 

From 1994 to 2008 he published weekly in the newspaper El País. In 2000 he travelled to Hanover invited by the Goethe Institute as a member of the jury of the Cartoon Competition Humankind & Energy within the events of the Expo 2000 in Hanover. 

During 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2008, he travelled to Tokyo as guest artist of the Kyoto International Cartoon Exhibition. From April 2007 to April 2008, he worked at the Cartoon Department of Kyoto Seika University as guest professor.
